Italian designer Paola Navone's highly-anticipated collection for Crate and Barrel debuted in select stores and online today; the line will roll out to all stores by the end of the week. It is the first of three planned collections and includes nearly 150 pieces of tabletop, furniture, textiles, lighting, and decorative accents. Paola Navone is a renowned talent with her hand in architecture, interior design, product design, and set design. Organic shapes and a mix of materials all evoke the Mediterranean inspiration that threads itself through much of the well-traveled designer's work. Navone's painterly touch, in her signature inky blue palette accented with red, appears on swirled and splattered Como flatware, plates, serving pieces, and table linens. The Mallorca pieces are crisp white and metallic with curled and scalloped detailing. I love the milky white tumblers! The Riviera collection is tinged with more color, reminiscent of the vibrancy of the 1950s French Riviera. There are several more products not pictured here that I love. I'm really drawn to the lines of the furniture pieces and glassware. The entire collection seems really well-rounded, affordable, and elegant—but not such a luxury that you couldn't, or wouldn't, bring it out every day. Also, if you crave Italian food as much as I do, check out some of Paola's own recipes here. If you like the collection, repin your favorite items from Crate and Barrel's Paola Navone board on Pinterest and you could win a $1000 Crate and Barrel gift card!
