buckeyes: peanut butter bonbons
1 stick butter, softened
1 jar peanut butter (1 lb, 2oz size)
2 cups confectioners sugar
3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
12 oz chocolate chips (Toll House semi-sweet recommended)
1/4 bar paraffin wax
Cream butters and mix in confectioners sugar and cereal. Chill dough for several hours.
Melt chocolate and paraffin over double boiler.
Roll dough into balls (we use a teaspoon for size) and coat in chocolate.
Place on wax paper-covered cookie sheets. Freeze while still on tray, then put them in freezer baggies or containers for storage.
When doubling the recipe, use 3x the chocolate.
